As part of Etex Group, sustainability is a key driving force in our strategy and as innovators in light steel systems, we want to inspire construction professionals to develop buildings that are not only safer but more sustainable.
As a company, we will continue to invest in R&D to create industry leading, sustainable products by embracing renewable and recyclable resources and materials. By making mindful procurement choices and working with organisations who share our vision, we will promote a joined-up approach to sustainable best practice. By working with innovative main contractors, architects and world-class designers we create low impact structures that work for modern life.
Sustainability benefits of LGSF
Sustainability benefits of LGSF
LGSF has a high strength to weight ratio meaning we consume fewer resources than traditional construction, using material with a high proportion of recycled content and a high recyclability rate (more than 90% of steel is recovered). As we manufacture our product in controlled conditions, waste is minimised during the manufacturing process.
Our system consolidates several elements into one solution therefore reducing transport movements to and from site. The pre-assembled nature of our designs means we can ensure site waste is virtually eliminated. Finally, with a 20-40% faster build time and less operatives required, LGSF offers not only lower emission solution but also results in a safer, more efficient site.
